It depends why you came. Valle Oriente for business: office towers, most of the upper-tier hotels, restaurants within a short radius. The Ricardo Margáin corridor is even handier for meetings and even deader after dark. Del Valle, around Centrito Valle and the Calzada del Valle, is the only part you actually enjoy on foot, and the pick if this is a leisure trip.

Mariano Escobedo airport (MTY) is 35-50 minutes away without traffic and considerably more at rush hour; an authorised taxi or a ride app runs around MX$450-700. The metro does not reach San Pedro, and city buses along Vasconcelos only work if you have time to spare. Almost everyone uses Uber or DiDi, roughly MX$70-150 for local hops.
Is it worth it if I'm not here on business?
Yes, with clear expectations: there is no colonial old town. What there is: Chipinque ecological park, with trails and lookouts over the whole metro area fifteen minutes from your hotel, the Calzada del Valle for a dawn run, serious cooking, and an unusual sense of safety. For museums and street life, cross into Monterrey — twenty minutes.
