Some of the workers were rude specially the ones in the breakfast area. Bread on breakfast was hard not variety of food i stayed 10 days and the serve almkst the same everyday. The hotel is crossed street of bar so on the weekends was super loud until 200 am.
Nice place. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The breakfast is a hearty spread and the staff take the extra effort to understand their customer's needs. One of my colleagues is a strict vegetarian and the kitchen prepared vegetarian meals or noodles especially for him. Language is not a barrier, the staff use translation sites on their phones to communicate if needed.
Such a good experience this time. I travel often using IBIS hotels and this time, coming to the room and finding some chocolates and a water bottle was a nice surprise. Room was squeaky clean and new, and personnel was always friendly. Definitely recommend for accommodation on the cheap with good value.

When to go
There is no tourist high season here, only the working calendar. The dry months, November to April, bring mild days of 22-25°C, clean light and genuinely cold nights — 5-8°C in December and January. Heating is rare in this bracket of hotel, so ask for an extra blanket and check how long the shower takes to run hot.
From June to September it rains most afternoons, and it rains hard. Mornings usually dawn clear; by five o'clock storms flood Periférico Norte and Avenida Gustavo Baz and turn a half-hour drive into two. Schedule meetings early, carry an umbrella, and treat your map app's arrival estimate as optimistic fiction.
March to May is the hottest stretch, around 28-30°C at midday, and the dirtiest: the northern valley regularly posts the worst ozone and particulate readings, and air-quality alerts are common. If you have asthma or are travelling with small children, skip these months, or at least the middle of the day outdoors.
Rates run backwards from a beach town. Hotels tighten Monday to Thursday and breathe at weekends; the year-end fortnight, Holy Week and long weekends are the slackest periods, when plants and offices shut and a room is easy to find late.
Getting there and around
Mexico City International Airport is 25-35 km away, right across the city: 45 minutes if traffic is kind, 90 at rush hour, with a ride-hailing fare of roughly MX$400-600. Felipe Ángeles airport, to the north-east, takes a similar time and usually costs a bit more; make sure your driver knows the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense approach.
The Tren Suburbano is the local transport win. Tlalnepantla station reaches Buenavista in about 15-20 minutes for something like MX$15-25, connecting to Metro Line B and the Metrobús. Trains run from early until close to eleven at night, so check the last departure before you commit to dinner downtown.
The Metro does not enter the municipality but grazes it: Cuatro Caminos (Line 2) and El Rosario (Lines 6 and 7) are a short taxi ride away. Microbuses along Gustavo Baz and Mario Colín cost around MX$12-15, run slow and packed; keep your phone pocketed and avoid them after dark.
Driving in? Check the Hoy No Circula restriction first: it covers the whole metropolitan valley, including Saturdays depending on your sticker, and fines are enforced. Gustavo Baz and Periférico clog from 7 to 10 and from 6 to 9. Confirm your hotel has its own parking — leaving a car on the street in the industrial belt is a bad idea.
Where to stay, zone by zone
Periférico Norte, around Mundo E and the border with Ciudad Satélite (technically Naucalpan), is the safest first-time choice: business chain hotels with parking, plus restaurants, coffee and a cinema within walking distance. It also has the cleanest run into Mexico City outside peak hours.
The Gustavo Baz industrial corridor, Barrientos and Los Reyes Ixtacala only make sense if your plant, supplier or meeting is there — the payoff is an hour a day not spent in traffic. Hotels are functional rather than charming, and the streets empty after dark, so dinner means a car or a ride-hail.
The Centro, around the plaza and the Catedral de Corpus Christi — a 16th-century Franciscan former convent, and the one thing a curious visitor would actually go to see — has simple, cheap hotels, a market and good cheap food. Noisy and walkable by day, sleepy at night; fine if you travel light and without a car.
Two honest caveats. With only seven hotels carrying a real price in our scans, rooms sell out during industrial trade weeks, and plenty of listings tagged Tlalnepantla actually sit in Naucalpan or Atizapán. And if your trip is pure sightseeing, sleep in Mexico City: Valle Dorado and San Juan Ixhuatepec are residential districts, not tourist bases.
Eating and going out
This is not a dining destination, and it helps to accept that early. What it does have is honest and direct: fondas serving a set lunch for something like MX$90-150, municipal markets for breakfast, neighbourhood taquerías, Sunday carnitas and weekend barbacoa. Eat where the factory shift eats at one in the afternoon and you will rarely go wrong.
For something predictable — chains, coffee, a cinema, air conditioning — there is Mundo E on Periférico and Plaza Satélite just over the municipal line in Naucalpan. Not a local experience, but it solves a work dinner or a rainy evening without going out to look for a taxi.
Nightlife is thin: neighbourhood cantinas, a few bars on the commercial avenues, little else. For a real night out, head into Mexico City — Roma, Condesa and Polanco are 30-50 minutes away without traffic — and come back by ride-hail, roughly MX$300-500 depending on the hour. Walking industrial or poorly lit streets late at night is not worth it.
