Courtesy cheap coffee and water included only when you arrive. *Big NO NOs: parking lot accessibility is AWFUL: extremely narrow to get in/out, narrow to maneuver. Don’t try with larger than medium car, even better don’t bring your car. The building, room, carpet, furniture and bathroom accessories are old, seems if they do any maintenance is minimal. TVs aren’t Smart nor they have any satellite service. Cleaning looks like they do the minimal, we couldn’t even smell the scent…
It's a very nice place that was not expensive at all. I stayed for a night to attend a social event. It is close to a lot of important places and is very close to principal streets so it's well connected. It didn't include breakfast, it has a gym and a business room that it's good enough. The parking is a little tight so be sure to ask if your car can fit, maybe something like a Suburban or something taller could have problems with it, beside of that security, service and the rooms are pretty good.
We have never been so humiliated by the reception personnel. Boldly hostile, insulting for reasons that defy explanation. I never ask owners to replace personnel, here I will have to make an exception. They give a bad name to an ok hotel.

When to go
Naucalpan sits above 2,200 metres and the weather barely swings. November to April is the dry season: days of 22-25°C, nights of 5-10°C, cold clear mornings. June to September brings rain most afternoons — short, heavy storms that flood the underpasses on the Periférico and stretch a half-hour drive into ninety minutes.
March to May is the least pleasant stretch: dry midday heat, dust, and the Valley of Mexico's worst air-quality episodes. Those weeks can trigger an environmental contingency, which tightens the rules on which cars may circulate. If you are driving your own or a rental, check the day's restrictions before you leave the hotel.
Hotel demand here follows the working week, not the calendar. Rooms tighten Monday to Thursday and loosen at weekends; December and Holy Week are calm for availability, though holiday traffic is punishing. In early September, the Los Remedios sanctuary festivities pull big crowds into that corner of the municipality.
Getting there and around
From Benito Juárez airport it is roughly 25-30 km of ring road: 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on when you land, in the order of MX$400-700 by app or authorised taxi. Felipe Ángeles (AIFA) is about 50 km out and realistically over an hour. Toluca airport connects via the México-Toluca highway, also about an hour with clear roads.
Cuatro Caminos, the Line 2 terminus beside the Toreo, is the practical link to Mexico City: five pesos and roughly 35-40 minutes to the historic centre. A huge transfer hub surrounds it, with buses and peseros fanning out to Satélite, Lomas Verdes and the northern State of Mexico for around MX$10-14 a ride.
A car helps, but the Periférico (Boulevard Manuel Ávila Camacho) and Vía Gustavo Baz clog from 7 to 10 and 6 to 9. For Santa Fe, go out via Chamapa or the México-Toluca road. Bear in mind the Hoy No Circula scheme applies here: check your sticker, plate and emissions certificate before driving anywhere in the metro area.
After dark, use an app rather than flagging a cab, and skip walks through industrial streets or empty avenues once the factories close. On peseros and around the transfer hub, keep your phone out of sight. None of this is dramatic — it is standard practice across the metropolitan area.
Where to stay, zone by zone
Ciudad Satélite is the best all-round base. It fronts the Periférico, uses the Torres de Satélite as its landmark, has Plaza Satélite for any errand, and a real fabric of restaurants and cafés around it. The hotels are executive in style, usually with parking and often breakfast; in our 2026 scans this is the tier that set the typical rate of around US$83.
The Toreo and Cuatro Caminos suit anyone arriving without a car: you walk to the metro, reach central Mexico City in half an hour, and have the Toreo Parque Central mall next door. The trade-off is noise and the churn of one of the country's busiest intersections. Ask for a room facing away from the avenue.
Lomas Verdes, Echegaray and Bosques de Echegaray climb into quieter, greener residential ground, but you will depend on a car or taxi for everything. The industrial colonias, Alce Blanco and San Andrés Atoto, hold the cheapest beds — near the US$58 floor we recorded — and are justified only by proximity to a jobsite.
Naucalpan Centro is intense by day, with its market, street stalls and constant transport, and switched off at night; formal hotel supply there is thin. Be honest with yourself: if this is a sightseeing trip to Mexico City, sleep in the capital. Naucalpan pays off when you have a specific reason to be in the northwest.
Eating and going out
Eating well here is an everyday affair, not an occasion. The Satélite corridor has seafood places, grills, Italian kitchens and plenty of competent chains, with quick options in the malls until late. The standard is that of a well-organised working city rather than a dining destination.
The street is where the flavour lives: al pastor and stewed-filling tacos along Ávila Camacho, barbacoa and carnitas at weekend street markets, quesadillas and tlacoyos mid-morning. Reckon on MX$15-30 a taco and MX$100-150 for a full set lunch in the industrial colonias, which is what most of the neighbourhood eats Monday to Friday.
Nightlife is modest: neighbourhood cantinas, a few beer halls, the odd bar with live music in Satélite, most of it closing early midweek. For a long night out, the honest answer is to head down to Polanco, Condesa or Roma and return by app taxi — 20 to 40 minutes depending on traffic, usually smooth at that hour.
Sundays shift the rhythm entirely: families in Parque Naucalli, queues at the taquerías around midday, and plenty of offices and shops shut. It is a good day for the Los Remedios sanctuary and an unhurried lunch, a bad one for errands or specialist shopping.
